jive5ab — Troubleshooting
No VDIF data recorded to disk
Cause: The VDIFPacker is not sending to the correct IP/port, or jive5ab_recording_path
is not mounted.
Resolution: Verify udp.dest_ip and udp.dest_port in the VDIFPacker configuration
point to the jive5ab container. Check that jive5ab_recording_path is defined and the host
path exists.
docker exec edd_jive5ab ls /data/
Field System cannot connect to port 2620
Cause: The container is not running, or the port is not reachable from the Field System host.
Resolution: Check container status and verify network routing:
docker ps | grep jive5ab
docker logs edd_jive5ab
Container exits immediately after start
Cause: The jive5ab binary fails to bind port 2620 (already in use).
Resolution: Check for other processes or containers using port 2620 on the host:
ss -tlnp | grep 2620
